Ali Eckert
Ali Eckert (German-American, b. 1963)
German American artist Ali Eckert grew up within two cultures and has been strongly influenced by American imagery and pop cultural elements. His art explores various iconography to reflect the American ongoing cultural transition. His unique analog process marries photography, digital artistry and painting. He captures all objects and sceneries through photography, then manually transfers pigments onto canvas or aluminum. In the final process he adds paint. The created piece is always an original work.Eckert’s art has been shown in Europe, China and USA. His work has been internationally collected and awarded (e.g. Sander Collection Basel, Zagoras Collection Athens, German Art Fund Hungary).
Eckert works with mixed media, film, and photography in his studios in Berlin and Wisconsin.
